We closed on a house we really liked, the real estate agent told me the seller will sign the contract if we pay 20k under the table, we really liked the house and didn't want to let go of the opportunity so we agreed to pay that 20k. After closing, when we asked the seller seller said he had no idea about that 20k and I have that in recording. He also mentioned he is willing to help if he needs to.
Should I press charge legally or should I politely ask to have the whole 20k back since it will be a question about the agent's license as well and so she will fear losing it? Please help
