We bought our house in November and ignored the lockbox left dangling from the main entryway doorknob. Our agent called to ask them to take it off; nothing. Then I called and still no response. So I finally removed the thing myself and tossed it in the garbage. A couple hours ago, the seller agent showed up for her lockbox. I told her I'd called her office repeatedly and after receiving no response, I'd thrown it away. She was livid and said they cost $200 and that I had no right to throw it out.
