I’m in the process of trying to buy a house that has been sitting empty for about 7 years. The interior and exterior are in surprisingly good shape, no water damage anywhere. The homes biggest issue is that while sitting empty someone broke in and cut all the plumbing out of the basement for scrap. The appraisal is next week. I can redo the plumbing but would like to wait because after closing I’m putting in a new well and it seems silly to have to move everything afterwards. Do appraisers usually test all plumbing?
