I'm in the process of buying a mobile home. I know some of the rules are a bit different because it's not considered "real property". This process has been a nightmare, but I believe it should be almost over. We are waiting for the appraisal report, once we get that we have to wait 3 days then we can close. The appraisal was done last Wednesday, over a week ago. The lender said they have reached out to get the report, but im stressed and want this done and over with. I asked for the name and number of the appraisal company so that I could call them to see what's taking so long and try to speed it up. The lender says they cannot give that information to me. That is really bothering me. I gave them my 500 bucks, but yall can't tell me who it went too???? I have tried googling, and I have learned that the lender is considered the client and not me. As well as it's illegal to try and influence their decision or report. I ve no intention of influencing them in any way other than asking them to move it along. I want to know why they can't tell me their name or number. And is there anything I can do about it? I really Don't like that I have no control or inclusion in this, I have been working my ass off until this point and it's my money and my house. I was told the appraisers name will be on the report, ASSUMING WE EVER GET IT, but I paid for this service, why can't I know about it?
I don't really want to piss the lenders off because this jas already taken a month of my life and will have a mental breakdown if I have to start over. I do understand that there is probably an issue with people trying to change the results and everything, but I really don't care about the results. It's a trailer, I'm sure it's got issues. I just want to move forward. So has anyone had this experience, and what can I do about them not telling me?
