First time home buyer here who was supposed to have my new build home closed today. I thought everything went well, my loan was approved by underwriting, I provided proof of funds, ect. all in a timely matter. I have signed all the closing documents with title and wired funds discussed with loan officer. I used the builder's lender because of the rate buy-down they were offering.

As I was waiting for my keys from the construction manager, loan officer called me to tell me there was an issue with the loan... Seriously???? The lender put in a December closing date by accident and on top of that they "did not realize that FHA requires the interest needs to be paid the first month of closing." They had to resend the closing disclosures and now I have to go back to the title company to resign documents. On top of having to wire an extra $1,700 for mortgage interest and taxes for the month because of their negligence. My closing date is delayed another 3 days (builder delayed closing from the 3rd to the 6th).

Has anyone have something like this happen to them?
