Buy a property without the owners knowing who you are?

We are interested in buying a piece of land where the sellers are going through a divorce. Basically, we're good friends with one party but the other would probably never allow a sale to us out of spite.

What are the options here? Form an LLC or something and buy through that? Have a friend/relative they don't know buy it? Thanks
