Buying a house in an election year

Apologies if this has already been asked but I'm curious what y'all think about buying a house in an election year? We live in Texas and we're wondering if we should wait until after the election? Obviously the main issue is interest rates so not sure if they will improve depending on the candidate since the real driving force is inflation but happy to hear y'all's thoughts. Thanks!
