I understand that lenders don't love it if you make other big purchases while underwriting and finalizing a loan. Is this correct?
I've been living outside of the US for a few years and will be moving back next summer. When I go back I'm going to need to buy 2 cars and set up new cell phone plans and possibly other things right away.
Is this going to make getting a mortgage more complicated?
The houses I'm looking at are $400-500k and I have around $230,000 set aside for housing, so I'm hoping that helps mitigate the situation. I have an 800 credit score and will hopefully have a new job contract in hand while job hunting.
