Going through the awful process of sorting through and organizing decades of paperwork/documents my parents have. Talking 4+ decades mostly of things nobody needs (phone bill from 1980????).
Anyway, they purchased a new construction in the 90s and it's all paid off. Not being a home owner myself I wanted to ensure the two documents I have are the essential documents to keep.
I have both of these hard copy originals and also found them on the online county recorder website where I can get digital copies. Anything else worth looking for/keeping?

- Grant Deed: seems to be dated around the time they purchased the home, language is along the lines of "For valuable consideration, receipt of which is hereby acknowledged [DEVELOPMENT COMPANY] hereby grants to [MOM AND DAD] as joint tenants of the following real property in [COUNTY NAME, CA]"
- Full Reconveyance: seems to be dated around the time they paid off the mortgage, along with a copy of a cashier check I assume they used for the final payment.
