Hello Everyone,
I am the first person in my family to go to college, so I don't have a lot of knowledge or guidance when choosing schools. I am new to student loans before, so I am trying to find the best way to end up with less student debt.
I start the Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Chamberlain University next week, and I have heard both good and bad things about the school. I have heard that it is the last resort for pursuing nursing as there are cheaper ways to get your nursing degree. Since I have 46 credits transferring in, my total tuition will be 65,000, but I also will receive about 20,000 in Pell Grant for the next 2 years, so I will have around 45,000 in student debt. I chose Chamberlain because my science GPA wasn't the best for getting into local public nursing programs, so I would be on a waitlist for a very long time.
I have been told that I should avoid Chamberlain at all costs, but I start next week so now I am just worried....
