Completely crushed after loss

I know lots of you have probably felt this way, looking for comradery or advice to feel better. We literally feel like we just lost the perfect home in a bidding war with 5 offers. We've been house hunting for months and have never seen anything we loved more. Offered 1.12M on 1.05 asking, which was already a stretch. the buyers agent shared everyone's offers to drum them up. We raised our twice to 1.19 then we're told it's our for 1.2, raised to that and they said actually they had another so it was ours for 1.21. we have a new baby and I was trying to take care of both kids while talking to the agent, talk to my husband who was at work, and we only had 10 minutes to decide. We were really stressed and ended up walking away and today are feeling regretful and like we want to quit house hunting. I'm in charge of the finances and I feel like I let my husband down (he didn't say that, just how I feel). We also rarely agree on houses. Sigh. I know were lucky to be alive and healthy it just sucks so bad! We feel like we're never going to be able to buy a house with both interest rates and prices so high.
