condo/ co op search

Hey so im in need of some help idk if its realistic or not to even ask but still going to try ... im new to the whole condo coop etc buying process i have applied for first time homebuyer loan and was approved for 400k now my next thing is there any grants or programs that pay the downpayment for you if you stay a certain amount of years its forgiven or anything like that? im not rich so i just want to make sure im able to afford everything and not have to struggle or pick up another job etc .. the place im looking at is in the bronx (yea i know lol) but its about 1700 a month and seeing how rent almost anywhere is 2k and better im thinking just save a few dollars and at the very least the place is "mine" instead of just renting. If anyone can help me or guide me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. sorry for the rambling.
