So about 2 weeks ago, I was about to buy a house but the seller accepted an offer from someone else within a few hours. The other people used a different realtor than mine and they got to the house faster. So the house got put under contract/contingent status. I got beat by a few hours pretty much. Disappointed.
So now my real estate agent called me today saying the other party that put in the offer is having financing issues and their offer might fall through. But she’s not 100% sure
Today, my real estate agent had me sign the contract forms again today as the “backup offer” and sent it to the other agent.
My question is, what’s the probability of their offer falling through? Or will it likely go through? Should I forget about this house? What should I do
