First home buyer, I initially have a 10 am closing time this Friday scheduled by the realtor agent. I have a last-minute doctor’s appointment that came up at the same time. When I reached out to the closing attorney's office, they said that I could schedule another time as long as I show up on the closing date based on the contract. I don't need any other people than myself, and I can’t come a day early because the seller has to sign first.
While the contract doesn't specify the exact closing time, my realtor is hung up with the fact that the seller and both agents need to be there on the time that my agent scheduled. I even said health comes first, but I guess I’m wrong in this situation. From what I can understand, the seller needs to get the money in the morning, so they can close in the evening.
What exactly happens on the closing table? Do all parties need to be on the table at the same time?
