Husband and I are closing on a house tomorrow morning and I just got a call from the loan people that has me nervous. We are buying in PA with an FHA mortgage. My husband is the only one on the mortgage as I’m SAHM currently. The loan people said I will not be allowed to be on the deed since I’m not on the mortgage, per FHA rules. Has anyone else experienced this?
I will be returning to work and we hope to refinance within a year so my income can be included and added to the mortgage. I assume I can get myself on the deed then, but this last minute news is nerve wracking. Appreciate any thoughts!
