I am not sure if this is the right place to post this but hopefully it works out. My wife and I have been considering moving to a larger home as we just had a second baby. I would like to buy something a bit cheaper that we can renovate into a dream home (cliche I know). I was wondering if anyone had tips on identifying good houses to renovate? Also how to very loosely come up with a number for cost of renovation? Do people walk through with contractors prior to purchase?
Thanks for any help!
