Fintech

I am looking into taking fintech as my course and I understand it is a niche course. I have currently applied for economics & finance and am wondering whether switching is a good move. Fintech is growing rapidly but it is still not too prominent. Should I choose fintech as my primary course or keep Econ & finance and look to take fintech later on or through external sources?
