Fraud risk?

Had a buyer make an all cash offer. He sent “proof of funds” which had several inconsistencies like font size type date amounts etc… he offered $100k earnest but then never sent anything, a few different excuses. We cancelled the contract a week later and relisted. He tried to come view the property again and we said no. He seems sketchy but did we scare off our only offer?
