Just here to vent and maybe someone can relate/ make me feel better. We were under contract on a home at the absolute max of our budget. It had some cosmetic things and rot but nothing my husband couldn’t fix. Inspection showed an electrical issue that would be about 25k total to fix. After some back and forth we told them 18k was the lowest credit we could accept. They sent us the termination paperwork. There was another offer but they chose us initially. I’m heartbroken even though I know financially it was the right call. I would love to hear stories where walking away turned out positive! I’m postpartum and now signed up to continue living with my in laws with my husband and three kids for many more months and could use some positive thinking
