Ok. I had an issue about 8-9 years ago.
I had a $750,000 Heloc on my Condo that I had never used. I took the entire $750,000 out , March 2017, forget about where it went, and never made 1 payment! It is now 8 years later and the bank has never called me and when I call them they have no record of me under my SS#.
They do mail me a statement every 3 months and the interest now has the loan at about 1.189 mil. No one has ever contacted me once in 8 years. At what point is there a statute of limitations or something?
There is no lien against the property. What would you do if you were me? What would happen if I sold the property?
State of New York….. and the Heloc was against a property that was appeased at over 2 mil$
