Hi all!! My husband and I are currently in the process of looking for a house in Florida. This summer I switched from a full time salaried position to self-employed in a private practice. I guess not the best time to switch jobs and look for a house, but here we are.
We just learned that since I switched jobs to self employed, they cannot consider my job for our loan since they don’t have 2 years of history. They said our only option is to have a co-signer.
Is there a work around for this? We missed the deadline for Hometown Heroes and are still shy of coming up with our down payment funds. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
