Just to give you a glance of my situation... I am a 31 year old who works as a technical assistant in a department that mostly does civil works. This is my 4th month working there. I have 12 years of working experiences in different industry, mainly customer service oriented and sales, then I jumped into maritime, logistics and supply chain industry for 5 years, i progressed onto managerial level after a year of working, overseeing operations, sales and marketing of my division. at the same time, I am also doing HSSE, i have IOSH and NEBOSH IGC. Ive been doing HSSE for 8 years in total.
And... Now..... I really wish to further my studies and have researched diplomas / degrees but I couldnt find which suits me better, specifically the entry requirements. I have 8 GCEO Level (4 Bs of Malay, Physics, English and Geography / 4Cs of chemistry, biology, maths and economics) and only 2 (e) AS-Level. I decided to just work straightafter to support the family.
Now, 12 years later... I see its harder to progress the career path without a certificate. Being in a job that focuses on civil works, i would love to pursue civil engineering. Should i retake my A Levels, score and go to Uni? or... is there any institution that accepts mature student into diplomas/degree with my background?
Thanks!
Sincerely,
Lost Girl.
