Help me settle a debate

So we are about to sell our dr Horton home built in 2007, we’ve updates a lot but not our laminate counter tops. Our realtor suggested that’s an important thing to do. I think wooden butcher block or wooden counter tops are becoming a thing and we should do it, my husband thinks we should just stick with boring quartz. What is your experience?
