How often should I contact PNC about assumption process with my ex?

Looking to get it in her name to get it off my credit so I can buy a house. The 16-20 week process is ludicrous but I get that they don't make money so they back burner it. How often should I contact them to be the "squeaky wheel that gets the oil" without being the "squeaky wheel that gets pushed to the back"?!
