A house on the same block as a family member appears to be in limbo right now. The owner was an elderly man who had no family, he passed away a few years ago now.

The county owns the house right now, but we haven’t been able to find it on any property tax auctions or any other county sale listings.

My question is, is there a certain amount of time the county has to wait before selling? How much would they sell the house for? Will it be for the real estate value, the tax assessment value, or put it up for auction?

The house will be attractive to flippers so we are trying to get a handle on everything to potentially have a fighting chance.

Thanks if you can help!
