How to respectfully ask to be released from buyers representation

I found this agent through a Zillow listing for a home I was interested in. Signed a dual agency, and are not happy with the way things are going with this agent. He is nice but I feel they have not been honest and have been rejecting our verbal offers before even writing it in to an official offer, by just running our offer through the listing agent (their boss). We are an older couple looking to buy our first home but this is not sitting right with us. Our buyer representation agreement is for 4 months. How can we respectfully ask to be released from this agreement? And what is your opinion on the way this agent has handled our offers?
