Looking for a home in a hot community. My agent works alone and is not always available on short notice. I lost the opportunity to buy one home because the house was under contract within 2 days of being listed while he wasn't available that quickly.
I asked him for a solution for "next time" and he shrugged it off. He's otherwise a good agent.
How does one handle this?
edit: Responses are making me realize that the next time I sign a realtor contract, I'll need a clause to ensure the right to representation (from the realtor's agency or from my choosing if they can't represent me) within x days of a listing going live. The area I'm looking in is hot with few homes coming up. It's crazy to miss buying a home because my realtor went on vacation.
