Indiana Land Contract

Messy divorce trying to help a friend. Her home is on a land contract and her ex wants her to buy him out of the contract. She cant afford to do that and doesnt want to move or sell. Their divorce is finalized and the house is still in both of their names. What can she do? It's my understanding that there is nothing forcing one party to sell unless he takes her to court over it.
