Hi all. I’m trying to buy my father in laws house. We don’t realize my mother in law is also on the deed. She is not getting any of the money after the sale as she doesn’t want it and hasn’t lived in the house for about 11 years. Also it would screw up her Social Security. So we’re thinking of doing a quit claim to get her off of the deed. Does this seem like the best decision? And if so is can my father in law turn around and sell the house to me the next day? Thanks everyone!
