Hi all!
I have recently been approached by a developer (not an agent/Realtor) who is asking me to help connect them with a home builder who would be willing to buy their recently entitled land. He is not looking for me to facilitate the transaction, just to introduce them to some home builders who may be interested. I am not a licensed agent, nor would anyone in this chain be a licensed agent.
Based on this situation, I have two questions:
Thanks for the help and I appreciate all responses.

Would I be able to receive a referral fee from this non-agent developer to help connect them to a builder? I keep running into language that precludes non-licensed individuals from receiving referral fees, but it looks like that is only from licensed agents. My situation seems a little different.
If so, what would an appropriate figure be? I was thinking in the range of 2-3% based on some online research.
Thanks for the help and I appreciate all responses.
