[WA state, USA]
The buyer(me), buyer agent, seller have all signed the purchase agreement.
In the agreement, my agent wrote
Buyer Brokerage Firm Compensation - see addendum,
In addendum, seller shall credit 2.5% to buyer, buyer brokerage firm compensation paid by seller shall be 0.5%.
We are in Washington State, where we are required to sign buyer agent contract before buying anything. However, we didn't sign. We went to <10 houses and entered a contract of house buying.
Now my buyer agent wants me to sign a buyer agent contract that says I have to pay him 2.5% commission. Can I refuse or negotiate it? Will it defer the house closing?
