I'm a grade 11 student in Nova Scotia, Canada, doing the french IB diploma program. I want to study aerospace engineering, and I'm considering studying at ISAE-SUPERO in France. I love Canada, and ultimatly I want to settle here. But I also want to be able to look back and feel like I took all the opportunities I could and made the most of life. But as much as I want to leave Nova Scotia, it's terrifying. I dont have much family in NS, but I do have a young brother. When I graduate high-school, he will have just turned 7, and I don't want to be away for those 5 years, I definitely won't be able to afford to come home very often. I know even if i don't go all the way to France, I will still leave NS, but at least I'll be in Canada. Is it worth it? I'm scared, but I feel like I'll regret it if I don't. And even as an international student university tuition is still dirt cheap compared to Canada, and I'm working on a small budget relative to Canadian university prices. I did a short term exchange program to France last year, so I'm not going in completely blind and I have a couple connections there. I dont know what to do, and when I try to think about it I get a panic attack because this could literally change the course of my life. Can anyone please give me advice?
