Is it odd for the buyer to be asked to use a specific inspection company?

Hi all, in the process of buying a home. After being asked to waive our inspection contingency and holding firm on wanting the inspection, the seller came back and said they will accept our offer IF we use a specific company for the inspection. (At least I'm assuming it's the seller? Is this a realtor thing?) Just wondering if this is odd? And what the reasons would be for this. We just want to be sure that the inspection is done honestly.
