Is it possible to change university and course after accepting an offer?

Originally I wanted to do sociology, and chose the best university for it and one that looked super well. A few months later I started becoming more religious and now I have a strong passion for religion more than anything else. The university I accepted doesn't do religious studies or theology or anything. What should I do now? Would other universities even accept me now even if I explained? Thanks
