We recently visited a piece of land in Marilog owned by a friend of my friend's family. The view is spectacular, and we are interested in buying two lots. However, when I asked for the title or the mother title for the land, they only provided a Certificate of Actual Land Occupancy for Migrants (CALOM). I heard from my friend that the land was gifted by a datu, or indigenous person, who originally owned it. Do you have any suggestions? We are about to make the payment next week, so your prompt response would be highly appreciated.
