So I’m wanting to buy a house as my primary resident in a neighborhood that’s continuously building new homes. The one I hope to go under contract with is one of the first few new builds and the newer ones are going up in price. From my very basic knowledge as a first time home buyer, the first bunch of homes being built will go up in value as newer and higher priced homes are built (pls correct me if I’m wrong or not taking things into consideration).
If I know for sure I’m staying in this home for at least 5 years, is it reasonable to think this will be a good investment when it comes time to sell it? I know there’s a lot more that goes into it but is this a good enough pro when it comes to looking for a home I know I will get something out of selling. It also has an HOA and I know there’s ppl that either really hate it or think it’s a plus.
