Is kaiser insurance allowed at your university?

My uni allows students to use their own medical insurance to help cover services at the health center, but some insurances like Kaiser aren't accepted. My sisters were confused about this because when they went to uni, their Kaiser insurance was accepted. So I was wondering if anyone knew if they changed that recently or if it's a school by school basis.
