Our relative recently retired and plans to move abroad in a few years, at which time their home could be rented to any number of young family members (good house; fantastic location; well above US median value). But first, they want to test the market to see how much they could cash out. The idea is to list it quarterly for a few days until the right offer comes along. Is there a way to do this transactionally with an agent, or is this more suited to a fsbo (as seller does not want to be tied to a certain price because they are testing the market)? And are there any major cons besides mls history?
