So I have a family member that co owns a lot with another family member. The first family member also owns a neighboring parcel outright. They want to sell the parcel they own outright and split the lot in two. The second family member might not be as agreeable to split the lot.
I realize none of this is actual legal advice, but can the first family member split the lot without the consent of the second, so long as the two parcels appraise at equal value? For full disclosure the land in question is in Ohio. Thanks!
