Real Estate Agent repping both sides?

i’m helping my son purchase his first home, he found a place he likes priced fairly, (750,000.00) I don’t have realtor and we want to place a full price all cash offer. I was going to hire a real estate lawyer but the sellers agent said he could represent both sides as we weren’t negotiating, any thoughts?
