We signed an exclusive right to sell agreement with a realtor who was with one real estate company, but he switched to a different company a few weeks later. He never asked us to sign a new agreement when he switched, but still has our listing up and is intending to help us sell our home. It's not going well, he hasn't been great about communication or feedback from showings. We're thinking we might need to fire him and find a new realtor and wondering if legally we are able to do so before the period we originally agreed upon in the agreement given he has since moved to a new brokerage (different than the one listed on our agreement.)
Any idea if him switching and not having us sign a new agreement would void our original agreement? We're in South Carolina.
