Hi everyone - this is an update to the original post from a few days ago.

So after I posted, I consulted with a lawyer regarding the water infiltration issue I was having and I was debating whether to move forward with it or not. He did say I have a potential case so it was up to me whether I wanted to start a lawsuit or try to mediate before hand. Because I had already paid a deposit to waterproof the basement, I decided to wait until the waterproofing work was done. if it fixed the issue I was going to drop coming after the seller and if it continued I was going to move forward with it.

Well — turns out the seller (A HOUSE FLIPPER) completely concealed a foundation crack that goes almost from wall to wall — and again, completely lied on the disclosure. In this link you will find pictures of my 90% finished basement and the room that was left unfinished and with plywood placed around the perimeter. Today the waterproofing company began the work and they found this hidden treasure that the flipper hid from us.

Luckily for me my contractor is willing to testify if need be that this crack did not happen in the 12 months that we have been living here. Now I have to reach back out to my lawyer and give him this new update as I believe we will definitely need legal action now. Even my own realtor had me write up a letter and send it to their broker as this has completely gotten out of hand.
