I am selling an investment property I purchased in a cash years ago to a developer. The developer already has a real estate attorney that will be doing their paperwork and has sent me over documents to sign. What are things I should be aware when signing these documents?
Are there conditions I need to ensure these documents have? For instance, one condition states: "Would you like us to prepare your deed, lien waiver, etc. for closing?" with an option being "Yes, please prepare the deed. I understand a $250 fee will deducted from the proceeds." or to find a my own attorney. I do not have a mortgage on this home, so can I not just obtain the deed myself and share that with them?
