Hello!
I'm excited to start studying for a bachelor's in physics this fall, but I don't know if I should buy a new computer.
I already have an old gaming laptop but it is quite heavy and has a lot of fan noise. It is also recommended to have at least 16 GB of RAM for programming and my computer only has 8 GM Ram. I think I rarely, maybe never take my with me the computer to classes because of its weight but new laptops are so expensive so I don´t know if it´s worth it to buy a new one.
Should I buy a new one? Do you have any tips on good computers that are lightweight, good for programing and quiet?
