We're in the process to buy and then sell and working with a realtor for both the houses.
Another realtor who we met at an open house had been chasing us hard with texts and phone calls. He dropped by our house today uninvited and mentioned that he had looked at the comps and thinks he can get 450k or closer to 500k for our current house.
I didn't tell him that we're under contract for the other house already. (I was kinda pissed at him showing up.) I politely told him that we are already working with another realtor.
Question is our current realtor and I think that we will likely get a little over 400k but not much over.
Is the realtor who's chasing us inflating the assessment just because he wants badly to get our business? How else to explain that experienced realtors can come up with prices that are so far apart?
