Thinking about moving to SC? Please reconsider

I’m a SC resident and have been my entire life (21M). I’ve realized recently that the growing popularity of SC and the amount of people deciding to make the move here has severely ruined my chances of being able to afford a house in my own home state. My small rural hometown has already doubled in population and my parents house is worth over double what they payed for it 10 years ago. I’m worried I will not be able to afford a house in my hometown before too long. So, that being said, I’d like to kindly ask anyone who is considering moving to South Carolina to please not do that. I’ve heard Florida is awesome. Ik this is an unrealistic ask but I wanted to atleast put it out there.
