I'm currently renting a 2bd/3bath townhouse for $2250/mo and was given a 60 day notice to vacate due to the owner selling the property. I'm looking at other rentals in the area, we're comfortable paying up to about $2900/mo which is absurd and criminal for a rental imo and have entertained the idea of seeing what programs are out there to help us buy. We can come up with 3.5% of whatever is around here and have about $170k combined gross. Both have credit scores around 700. Most houses that fit our needs start at around $450k and range up to about 560k. We would be 1st time home buyers and are wondering what programs or there would help us buy.. Help us in the way of grants, loan structure, etc..

When I filter my search in any home search app or website I come up either empty or just 1 or 2 homes... Some literally with extensive fire damage... Pictures with blue tarps covering the roof... Im just so demoralized.
