So my partner and I put a bid at asking price for a 4 bed 2 bath place in NC. We were on day 7 of 10 in the upset period for the house.
We found out that the attorney for the seller quoted the new buyers that they only needed a 3% increase . But according to the general statutes for NC, it should have been a 5% increase.
How likely do you think the bid would get accepted? And any comments on how to contest it?
The house is an estate sale by the court due to death of the homeowner.
