I have been using Anki extensively for more than three years now and I have been creating my own study schedules using the Retrospective Revision Timetable method by Ali Abdaal.
Both of these things have been absolute lifesavers during school/uni.
However, there are a few problems that keep coming up for myself and some of my friends:
I've been thinking about developing a (web) app to fix these issues. I know it's cliché, but hear me out.
What if the app could generate a spaced repetition-based study plan for you?
100% tailored to your specific situation, taking into account the date of your exam, and prioritizing the topics you struggle with the most.
The app wouldn't force you to study using flashcards. You can use whatever you want: summaries, practice questions, mind maps, etc.
You just have to input what you studied, how confident you are with that topic, maybe add some notes about sub-topics or exercises you struggled with particularly and the app makes sure to constantly adapt the schedule to your needs.
No more trying to manually keep track of your study plan for 5 exams at the same time. Everything is done for you.
I know this is still very vague, but what do you guys think about this? Would that be helpful to you? What kind of features would you like it to have? How would the ideal version of this look like?
I'd love to get some feedback so I can see whether this is actually something that could help other people as well or if it's just something I'd like to have.
Appreciate any input!

Both of these things have been absolute lifesavers during school/uni.
However, there are a few problems that keep coming up for myself and some of my friends:
- Anki/other flashcard apps never take into account the date of your exam, so sometimes you have to be very careful when rating cards because they might end being scheduled for weeks after you have your exam. Sure, you can change up the settings or cram the cards, but it often requires quite a bit of learning and manual setup.
- For some subjects, it simply does not make sense to study with flashcards (or sometimes I just don't feel like it and want to use mind maps or summaries instead for whatever reason). Especially people studying more math-focused or practical subjects have been complaining about that to me
- Many students want to experience the benefits of Spaced Repetition/Retrospective Revision, but they either refuse to study using flashcards or they don't want to use these pre-made, rigid Notion templates (that also don't take into account the date of the exam)
