I'm trying to understand why some listings advertise that they have pre-approved permits on hand. I understand that there's probably no harm in mentioning it--but I'm more interested in the story behind why a listing might typically have these available.
Around here we usually see them more often for lots with older but perfectly serviceable houses.
Were they spec home or custom home builds that fell through, and if so what could be the reasons why? etc
The one that jogged my mind recently is owned by an LLC, purchased about a year ago, so I'm guessing it was a spec home that fell through?
